The Creativity Workshop

Using the Tools of Creative Writing, Memoir, Art, Photography, Storytelling and Mindfulness

For Creative Artists

The Creativity Workshop is one of the only workshops that works with all kinds of creative artists in the same class. Our participants find this approach stimulating, refreshing and extremely helpful.
We can work across the artistic spectrum because we have developed exercises that evoke the universal and the archetypal and we focus on the artistic process, rather than any one specific product.

We are one of the few workshops that focuses wholly on helping creative artists understand, explore and immerse themselves in their own unique vision. We believe that a supportive, non-competitive environment is most conducive to inspiring artists to explore that vision.

Our techniques and exercises are geared to helping creative people reclaim or expand their sense of experimentation, wonder, and fun. Great artists have always been extremely playful in their work. The Creativity Workshop emphasized the importance of fun and playfulness in any artistic endeavor.

People working in creative fields need time to tune into their mischievous side or they risk their work getting cautious and stale. Professional creatives need to keep their creative juices flowing regardless of the constraints of the marketplace. Our exercises in guided visualization, automatic writing and drawing, team writing, mapping, photography, memoir and creative writing, storytelling, collage and sense perception will take your mind ‘off message’ just enough to open up to powerful new images and ideas that can serve that message even more effectively.

Class time is divided between experiential exercises, teachers’ talks, and individual and group work. Class atmosphere is nurturing, inspiring, and fun. Many people have found The Creativity Workshop to be a life-changing experience.

Here is what creative artists have to say about their Creativity Workshop experience.
